It may seem that Wayne Johnson and crew are very much "Under Command"; commanded to succeed that is. Independent artists can take some notes from this bunch. They work hard, travel long hours, play endless dates and still have time to be a family. It helps a little when your wife is a talented bassist.

She's lovely, personable and awesome on the fret board. As a team Wayne and Julie really need a bigger stage where they can stretch out. They are very complimentary to watch, neither actually stealing the show and both always delivering with authority from their own piece of real estate. And talk about real estate, the drum kit needs an island of it's own.

Drummer Johnny Ray plays a blue 10-piece DW kit finished with solar flares around the rims. Hopefully there's a fire extinguisher handy, because the designs are not just for show. This guy can slam the skins. And backing up the Mighty Wang J, Johnny is the right beat for this band.

After seeing over a thousand rock shows, no exaggeration, it's difficult to get too excited about much of anything. That statement holds true more now than ever in the "The New World Indie". Without a doubt it's worth every dollar to experience an Under Command show. It's not just great music but great entertainment.
