La For Another Alivia, Rachael, Christine, Delaney

La for Another is a female quartette serving up some exiting pop/punk tunes with a 'girls have fun' attitude. A casual glance reveals four young women having the time of their life playing music and living the Indie dream.

While they have been together just over a year their popularity has steadily grown with a fan base that truly idolizes them. Afterall, they have been dubbed, "not dolls, but action figures". They seem to live up to that legend as artists and performers.

Their roots are in the Baltimore/Washington scene, one of the toughest music markets in the nation, and yet they continue to draw growing crowds and fan loyalty. These girls aren't old enough yet to be drinking at the bar but the clubs want them around. Why not? They are an attractive bunch of fun loving ladies that can really rock the house. Joy always shows an honest face!

It's easy to have fun on the job, that's why so many aspire to this trade right? La for Another isn't all just fun and games, though pinning them down on some questions was tough. When they give you a serious answer they mean what they say. At this point in their game they are serious about getting a studio product on the streets. What better way to start than with Kory Gable and Pin Up Recording.

Everything we hear coming out of this guy has a solid polished quality that makes good music great. Apply the hot guitar licks of Alivia with the solid bass lines of Delaney and snappy pop drums from Rachael and they'll be off to a great mix. Add in the sweet and sassy vocals from Christine and we just may have something here.

No matter what level of music you are working in, as a number one International best seller or a back basement striving Indie band, you have got to be putting your time into packaging and marketing. La for Another has all the right ingredients to deliver a complete marketing package. Great music with high quality recordings, cool pictures and video, fun loving personalities and an impressive live show. That's the package.

They don't talk about the name, and dodge that question often. Who knows on that one right? What we do know is that they all seem well grounded and plan to finish school before getting on the Rock Star Express. Christine and Rachael are college girls while Delaney and Alivia are looking forward to their high school graduation.

As they continue to mature as performers and song writers they are sure to charm the hearts of thousands this year with their first studio release aptly titled, "Not dolls, Action Figures". Their gutsy pop sound shines out in tunes like Invincible and Dodging Traffic with awesome drum flares and impressive guitar progressions. And their softer side shows some splendid creativity and professional depth on the charming and enlightening Lullaby. These just make us want more.

La for Another is a name to keep your eyes on as they continue make a deep impression on every new fan. Watch for the upcoming EP sometime this summer and hope for no less than a regional tour.

As much as we loved the last performance, as much as we recognize the passion in their music, the more we look forward to seeing their show again. They truly put the joy back into the live experience.
